Kitron is currently seeking a mechanical engineering graduate to join our Automation Team as a Trainee under NAPS. This one-year training program offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of Automation.
Job Description:
Assist in developing conceptual models and ideas for new projects or improvements in production processes.
Support the design team in creating 3D models using SolidWorks and 2D layouts using AutoCAD.
Learn and contribute to basic engineering calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
Aid in producing detailed drawings and assembly specifications.
Support in component selection: pneumatic cylinders, motors, actuators, ball screws, LM shafts, linear guides, bushes, etc.
Understand material selection (metals/non-metals), machining and fabrication processes, sheet metal work, and post-processing operations.
Learn about and contribute to various manufacturing methodologies.
Assist in managing BOMs, revisions, and documentation in compliance with ISO standards.
Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of designs.
Gain exposure to assembly build-ups and participate in troubleshooting of issues related to form, fit, and function.
Learn and apply GD&T fundamentals; exposure to tolerance stack-up analysis is a plus.
Understand and follow ISO, ASME, and optionally DIN standards.
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback and design changes as per engineering documentation protocols.
Requirements:
Completed a degree in B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
Eagerness to learn and contribute to real-world engineering projects.
A keen interest in mechanical systems, machine design, and automation.
Familiarity with design software tools like SolidWorks and AutoCAD (academic or internship exposure).
Strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities.
Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
